The Carova Volunteer Fire & Rescue hosts our first annual Artsy August series of events. Every Thursday in August, 10 am to 1 pm, featuring local makers and coastal art, free snacks (varies by week to include ice cream, popcorn and cotton candy), music, games for the kids and more. Each week will offer unique and fun experiences for the whole family. We also have a Float Farm where you can adopt a free pool float to take home. You might see some wild horses too!

The Carova Volunteer Fire & Rescue hosts our first annual Artsy August series of events. Every Thursday in August, 10 am to 1 pm, featuring local makers and coastal art, free snacks (varies by week to include ice cream, popcorn and cotton candy), music, games for the kids and more. Each week will offer unique and fun experiences for the whole family. We also have a Float Farm where you can adopt a free pool float to take home. You might see some wild horses too!
Turtle Talk at Sweet T’s
Weekly turtle talks at a locals favorite coffee shop. Join us in the morning on a beautiful outdoor patio to learn all about sea turtles! This is free to the public-just come and have a seat. Questions are welcome and it is a small intimate format.

National Night Out
This annual event is a great opportunity to meet your local law enforcement officers, first responders, and neighbors in a fun, family-friendly environment! Alongside the Kill Devil Hills Police Department, you’ll have a chance to connect with several other public safety agencies, including the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department and more!
